2 hours

That is how long it takes the wrinkles in a pair of jeans, that have been stuffed in a locker for two weeks, to work their way out after you put the jeans on.

15 seconds. That is how much longer the walk to the vending machine is when you are avoiding you boss's desk because you don't want him to see you in wrinkled jeans.

2 seconds. That is the amount of time it takes to decide whether to wear wrinkly jeans or your bicycle leggings—which are a pair of baseball stretchy pants from a baseball uniform found at Goodwill.

45 seconds. That is how long the smart feelings take to wear-off after reflecting on your new bicycle riding clothes that you bought at Goodwill.

24 minutes. That is how long it takes to find wool sweaters and wool vests and a nice pair of baseball pants at Goodwill.

$16.48. That is how much money it costs for a wool sweater, a wool vest, and a nice pair of baseball pants at Goodwill.

$250. That is a ballpark figure as to how much a wool bicycle jersey, a wool undershirt, and a pair of bicycle tights would cost if you bought them at a bike shop.

8 seconds. That is how long it takes for the self-satisfied feelings to replace the feeling of being smart you had when you first reflected on your new bicycling clothes.

30 seconds. That is the amount of time you will never get back that you spent reading this blog.
