The lyrics

Are you ready to hear Arnica's new song?

Here is the story about the song. As you no doubt know, Arnica loves him some Christmas songs. One of his favorites is, Why can't every day be like Christmas (Elvis did the most kick ass version of it). Arnica loves plucking the chords and singing the song, and wishes he could play the song all year long. So, Arnica took the music and made up some new lyrics.

The lyrics and music are kinda country, but not in that fay-country way that Arnica hates. The song is country in a good way.

Arnica will post the video (yes, that is right, Arnica made a video) of the first performance, which came mere minutes after the song was written, on Friday.

Her tears
They were flowing
Down her cheek as she slammed the door
She never heard a word that I said
She didn't want to hear anymore.

Her hair
It was blowing
in the wind as she drove away
but she slammed on the brakes and got out of her car
just long enough for her to say.

(chorus)

Don't ever show your face down in Texas
Don't ever let me catch you coming 'round
Cause if I ever see you down in Texas
I'm gonna have my (big) brother shoot you down

One
night stands
are never easy to explain
but their not as hard as it is to chase down
a convertible when it's pulling away

(chorus)

Don't ever show your face down in Texas
Don't ever let me catch you coming 'round
Cause if I ever see you down in Texas
I'm gonna have my (big) brother shoot you down
